Phils scoring with well-timed power

Is it possible in this day and age for a team to lead
the league in runs scored and yet be last in home
runs? While it is highly unlikely that anyone will be
able to outscore the Colorado Rockies this year, the
Philadelphia Phillies find themselves third in the
league with 118 runs scored, yet last in home runs at
11.
While it is probably safe to say the Phillies
will not finish last in the league in homers by the
time it is all said and done -- Jim Thome and Pat
Burrell are bound to heat up one of these days -- it is
interesting to note that the team has been scoring
prodigiously without benefit of an especially high
slugging percentage. True enough, though, that
slugging percentage is significantly better with
runners on base and in scoring position to this point.
