New York Yankees: The news is not good for Steve Karsay. The Yankees were counting on him to be their number one set-up man this year and it now appears that he will see no action whatsoever in 2003. A tossing session had to be aborted yesterday, writes Tyler Kepner of the New York Times. Following that, he is set to visit Dr. James Andrews today to get further examination on his troublesome shoulder.

Texas Rangers: It might seem a bit premature, but these guys have to watch the Rangers pitching staff every day -- we don't. Sean Horgan and Ken Daley of the Dallas Morning News take a look at the crop of free agent pitchers who will be available come the end of the season. Can any of them help Texas? Yes. Does Texas have any money to give them, though?
