Chicago Bears: In hopes of making QB Kordell Stewart more comfortable in the pocket, coach Dick Jauron will start T Marc Colombo on the left side and T Mike Gandy on the right. That's a reverse from the original plan, because Colombo underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee three weeks ago and will be out until training camp. "We saw the worth with a new quarterback, just helping him to reach that comfort level, just [saying] that guy you're going to be practicing behind from Day One of rookie camp is going to be the guy that's there, Kordell," offensive coordinator John Shoop told the Chicago Tribune. "It's not a reflection of Marc's inability. It's a reflection of Mike's ability to be there from Day One."

Cleveland Browns: LB Jamir Miller is waffling on his decision to stay in Cleveland or sign with division rival Baltimore, and the waiting game is beginning to grate on owner Carmen Policy. "I think we've offered more than has been offered by any team to this point," Policy told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "Whether we continue to maintain that kind of an offer depends on a variety of factors, the most important of which will be Jamir's attitude and desire to return to the Browns." The Browns, as well as the Ravens, are offering deals light in base salary and heavy in performance incentives, as neither team is certain how Miller will respond from Achilles' tendon surgery last year.
