By firing head coach Rick Kehoe, the Pittsburgh Penguins showed they weren't lying about totally revamping the organization.
While pointing out he wasn't blaming Kehoe for the Penguins' second-worst record in the NHL, general manager Craig Patrick continued Pittsburgh's front office shakeup that has included the firing of a team president and ticket managers. Twenty-nine years with the franchise as a player, scout and coach couldn't save Kehoe, although he will remain with the club in some capacity.
"I think we need someone who's a stronger communicator and maybe a better teacher," Patrick said.
