OT Gross good fit for Panthers

The Panthers need a lineman to compliment the rest of the offense, while the Bears and Cardinals need to replace stop-gap quarterbacks.

Q: It's obvious that the Panthers need help on offense at multiple positions. You have said that they should take an offensive lineman at No. 9, but I would like to see them pick up an offensive play-maker/game-breaker. What player with that ability might be available at that spot? -- Ken, Charlotte, N.C.

MEL: Carolina added Kevin Dyson and Ricky Proehl in free agency but could still upgrade there, because Proehl is near the end of the road and Dyson is coming off an injury. Charles Rogers and Andre Johnson will be gone by then, and No. 9 might be a little high for Taylor Jacobs and Bryant Johnson.
