Angelle Savoie's pet monkey is a real pain in the neck. But dealing with him was nothing compared to what the three-time NHRA Pro Stock Bike champ had to do to find work after her team owner folded tents.

It was a hectic off-season for three-time NHRA Pro Stock Bike champ Angelle Savoie. Despite winning last season's title, Savoie was left rideless after owner George Bryce pulled the plug on Star Racing. And it didn't help that her pet monkey, Andy, hit the terrible 2's. "Andy's trying to break out of his cage," Savoie says. "He wears diapers and acts like a 2-year-old. He's very destructive." Andy's antics can't compare to the monkey business surrounding Savoie's split with Star Racing. At the end of January, with the season six weeks away, Bryce folded the team, claiming he couldn't find sponsorship. "Nobody was calling," says Savoie, "and I don't exactly know why. It was like we didn't exist."
