Once upon a time, Texas was a football school -- period. Then T. J. Ford turned up in Austin -- and turned UT hoops around.

Like all teens, T.J. Ford has changed.
Not the walk. He still rolls those bony shoulders and swaggers those semibowed legs onto the court, like a true Texas gunfighter just off the range and ready to sling some lead.
Not the shot, either. Despite firing up 1,000 a day in the off-season, while resorting to all sorts of bizarre gimmickry to improve his mechanics, the 5'10" sophomore still fades and leans and flings most of his stuff off-balance.
