  • Florida quarterback Rex Grossman told reporters that Bears representatives were certain they would draft a quarterback in the first two or three rounds. Grossman, who will be in Chicago on draft day, had his testimony echoed by Cal quarterback Kyle Boller, who said he met with general manager Jerry Angelo and offensive coordinator John Shoop in Mobile, Ala., during the Senior Bowl.

  • The Chiefs could be targeting a cornerback with their first-round pick and probably will choose to address their pass-rush deficiencies in free agency.

  • A Steelers observer recently told PFW that Oliver Ross has the inside track to win the Steelers' starting left tackle job if Wayne Gandy is not retained by the team as expected.
