I must admit that the result was a surprise to me. I thought Super Bowl XXXVII was going to be much closer, and a much better game. When writing my mismatches article last week, I was struck at how many of them went in the Bucs' favor, more than I had time or room to write about, but I still thought the Raiders had the more complete team. Instead, we got another Super Bowl blowout with the Raiders making just a fleeting attempt in the fourth quarter to add any kind of excitement to the contest. All hail the Buccaneers, their amazing defense and the key players who gave their city its first Super Bowl champion.
