Three juniors in top five

Mel Kiper Jr., ESPN.com's NFL draft guru, ranks his Top 25 prospects for the 2003 draft.

With an excellent week at the Senior Bowl, USC QB Carson Palmer has solidified his status as the No. 1-rated prospect on my Big Board -- and as the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft. Meanwhile, the underclassmen who've declared for the draft have significantly impacted my top 25. Three of the top five (and five of the top 10) prospects on my board are underclassmen.

There are four first-time board members. Miami junior WR Andre Johnson is the newest underclassmen who made the biggest splash, debuting at No. 5. The others are Washington State junior DT Rien Long, Oklahoma State senior DT Kevin Williams and Notre Dame junior center Jeff Faine. By the way, nine of the top 25 are defensive linemen.
