Palmer impresses at Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. -- USC quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Carson Palmer just jumps out at you. Competing on the same South team at the 2003 Senior Bowl with other big-name quarterbacks like Texas' Chris Simms and Texas Tech's Kliff Kingsbury, Palmer stood out at Tuesday's practice.

Following in the footsteps of Roosevelt Williams and Lamar Gordon, two prospects from smaller schools, Tuskegee DB Drayton Florence and Bethune-Cookman DB Rashean Mathis looked like they belonged. They adjusted well to the raised level of competition.
