Mel Kiper Jr. updates his Big Board regularly -- generally each week during the season -- ranking his Top 25 senior prospects for the 2003 NFL draft.
Keep an eye on USC quarterback Carson Palmer. He debuted on the Big Board at No. 25 (on Oct. 24), and then he rose to No. 16 (in my original posting of these rankings). USC was idle Nov. 2, but as I've evaluated Palmer's performance, it's obvious that he has improved by leaps and bounds this year. He jumped to No. 7 earlier this week, and now I've moved him up to No. 3.
I expect Palmer to continue to improve his draft stock in the weeks ahead. One important barometer for him will be a huge home game with Notre Dame (and the tough Irish defense) on Nov. 30.
