Strong effort keeps Ragone No. 2

Dave Ragone was originally going to drop on my Big Board this week, but not after his performance in Louisville's 26-20 overtime upset of Florida State on Thursday night.

The Cardinals' quarterback, who threw two touchdown passes, solidified his position as my No. 2-rated senior prospect for the NFL draft. Despite playing in a driving rainstorm for 60 minutes, Ragone made all the plays he had to make and threw the ball exceptionally well.

I liked the way he went about his business, showing a lot of energy, enthusiasm and toughness. Playing behind a suspect offensive line, Ragone was sacked five times, but he still managed to throw the ball effectively and lead Louisville to victory over the nation's fourth-ranked team.
