Moss a pass-rushing dynamo

When I met my No. 17 prospect -- DE Jarvis Moss (6-7, 220, 4.50) of Denton (Ryan), Texas -- back in June, my first impression was, "You've got to be kidding me." He looked a lot more like a slim forward in basketball rather than a dominating defensive lineman. But his coach, Joey Florence, told me that Moss is the best pass rusher he's ever seen at the high school level, and when I watched film of Moss a couple of weeks later, I understood what Florence meant.
When Moss comes off the corner, there are very few players in the nation with his explosiveness, agility, body control and closing speed. Last season he had 122 tackles, 28 sacks, 52 tackles for loss and 13 passes batted down, and not surprisingly he earned All-State honors. You simply can't knock him off his feet. He uses his arms to get great leverage and is so quick that blockers have an extremely difficult time getting a piece of him.
Jarvis Moss recorded 122 tackles last year.
