LOS ANGELES, May 26 -- Here's more from my Southern California stops, including my visit to San Diego.
One of the two best RB prospects I've seen so far (along with South Carolina's Demetris Summers) is Reggie Bush (6-0, 183) of La Mesa's Helix H.S. He's one of the fastest backs in the nation (10.5 100 meters) and is extremely quick. Needless to say, he's being heavily recruited by most of the major programs, including UCLA, Oregon, Stanford and Notre Dame (one of only four offers the Fighting Irish have made so far).
Another player ranking high among the nation's prospects (he's on my Top 100 list) is WR Whitney Lewis (6-1, 215) of Ventura's St. Bonaventure H.S., who runs a legit 4.35 40 and has everybody chasing him, including FSU, Texas, USC, Michigan and Miami (Fla.).
