    From March Madness to March Sadness. NBA scouts and general managers will be out in force over the next few weeks scouting everyone in the Big Dance. For the college purists, that means the yearly migration of underclassmen to the pros is underway. Let the strip mining begin.

    A great March can really help a player's stock. Last year, Arizona's Richard Jefferson rode a strong tournament performance into the lottery. In 2000, it was Florida's Mike Miller and Donnell Harvey riding a surprising Florida Gator run. In 1999, Wally Szczerbiak and Rip Hamilton used strong March performances as springboards into the lottery.
