Richard Williams, at 6-foot-2 3/4 and 345 pounds, plays left tackle in Gardner Webb's run-and-shoot, spread-style offense and projects as a guard in the NFL.
Because he was a partial qualifier out of high school in Virginia, Williams ended up at Gardner Webb, now an independent Division I-AA school, instead of at a major Division I program. He was over a 3.0 GPA last semester as a sociology major and is on track to graduate.
