Here's a look at how programs in the Pac-12 are faring on the recruiting trail heading into national signing day on Feb. 5.
ESPN 300 commitments: 5
Who they have: The Wildcats started early, gaining a commitment from in-state standout Cameron Denson in January, then had perhaps the best summer of any Pac-12 program with 16 commitments during June and July. Rich Rodriguez has always been known for offensive production wherever he goes, and recruits are taking notice. At the skill positions, the Wildcats are loading up with running backs Nick Wilson and Jonathan Haden, as well as tight ends Trevor Wood and Darrell Cloy Jr. ESPN 300 offensive tackle Jordan Poland was a big flip from USC and quarterback Brandon Dawkins will be thrown into the mix when he arrives on campus. But Arizona also has made a splash on defense, with ESPN 300 teammates Marquis Ware and Jamardre Cobb teaming with ESPN JC 50 prospect Antonio Smothers to add some significant talent to the linebacker group. Naijiel Hale, Devon Brewer, Patrick Glover and Kwesi Mashack should be big additions at cornerback.
Who they want: At this point, it's all about maintaining the class for Rich Rodriguez and his staff. Plenty of things can happen on or just before signing day, so the Wildcats will work to hold on to all of their commitments. Still out there on the board is defensive tackle Marcus Griffin, who took a recent official visit to Arizona.
