Outtakes with Brian Vickers
A chat with the driver of the No. 83 car about Pastrana, Danica and his Toyota Prius
This interview appears in the March 8 issue of ESPN The Magazine.
KM: I hear you turned down an invite to do Travis Pastrana's New Year's jump with him.
BV: I did. Travis is a great friend, but I already had plans to go to the Bahamas.
KM: So the choices were go to the Bahamas or sit shotgun as some idiot drives off a pier? As it turns out, the passenger side didn't fare so well. He hit the retaining wall, right?
BV: He did. I knew that would happen. I said, "I know how this works. If something goes wrong, my side will be the first to go." He said, "I wouldn't do that." I'm like, "Bulls--."
