Coming off the motorsports madness of May -- Charlotte, Indy and the Monaco GP, three of the biggest races in the world -- you might think we drivers would be ready for a summer break. Not even close. If you're a real racer, May is a big country steakhouse buffet. The more you see, the more you want.May got a lot tastier last week when Charlotte Motor Speedway CEO Bruton Smith let it slip that he and the Indy Racing League folks are thinking about offering a $20 million bonus to any driver who wins both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600, which are both during Memorial Day weekend next year. Guys who have attempted the 500/600 double before -- Tony Stewart and John Andretti, for example -- are going out of their way to tell everyone that the chances of winning both are damn near zero. Privately, though, we're all running through scenarios to see if we could make it work. The money would be nice. But a chance to make history in a different type of race car? That would be priceless.
