A lot of people ask me the best way to get an NBA player's autograph. While it's not always a given that you'll hit the jackpot, there are definitely some rules to follow that will help your chances.
1. Get to the game when the gates open. You never know if players are going to be there signing near the court before the game, and since the place will be empty you won't have much competition. If you can't afford floor seats (and few people can), a lot of times the ushers will let you down there before the game to get an autograph or two, especially if you're with a kid. We love signing for kids, but we do not love seeing the same people over and over again.
