Packers minus-3, plus NFL line moves
I caught up with Big Al McMordie just as he landed in Hawaii.
He was doing a week of "research" by attending the Maui Invitational at Chaminade. While we were on the phone talking about this week's NFL line moves he was lamenting the half point loss he just took on some college hoops game. Meanwhile, it was 9:30 at night back east and I was in my third-floor office simultaneously trying to coax my 7-year-old back down to his room and some good info out of Al. I think he sympathized with me, it was hard to tell amidst the chaos.
One of the first games I asked him about was New England-Indy, in which the Pats are currently favored by 3.5. Sorry to say, he didn't have an opinion on the side, at least not at that price. He thought it was a good number and that, from a bettor's perspective, there wasn't much value to be had. He did, however, like the under 50.5. "Anytime you get a total that high, I'm inclined to think the under is the right way to go."
Here's what else he had to say about this weekend's games.
