The first time I heard of Adam Meyer was sometime in the winter of 2009. I can't remember if it was a story online or a bookmaker or a reader who pointed him out. But when I Googled him what I saw were features about how much money he had, about how much he bet, about the toys he could buy.

Chad Millman, Editor in Chief of ESPN The Magazine, joined The Mag as an associate editor in 1998.
