I am renaming this day in the bloggy blog Super Tuesday for the duration of football season. This will be the spot for stats, links and stories related to the Hilton Supercontest. Any thoughts on what might be useful that isn't here, let me know. But largely, we'll see who won each week, who's winning for the season and learn about the trends making the contest go.
SUPER NUMBER: 8
Take a look at the following games: Indy-Washington, San Francisco-Oakland, Minnesota-Dallas, New York Jets-Denver, New England-Baltimore, Cleveland-Pittsburgh, Detroit-New York Giants and Green Bay-Miami. Know what they all have in common? Not that they were close -- some of them were blowouts -- but in every game which team would cover the spread was undecided until midway through the fourth quarter or later. That's a lot of contestants pacing in front of the TV late on a Sunday afternoon.
