The Masters: Round 2 Virtual Caddie
A little wet, and as the cut line looms, pins 8-12 could be huge keys
Jeff Bradley, a senior writer for ESPN The Magazine, is down in Augusta for his ninth time covering the Masters. Each day, he'll set up the course conditions -- weather and pin placement -- for you via this Virtual Caddie feature, with help from Augusta native and five-time Masters participant Charles Howell III.
With 31 players finishing Round 1 under par, it's fair to say Thursday was a day for scoring at Augusta National; we saw nine eagles and 311 birdies on the day. With the ground dry and firm, the par 5s were especially easy pickings for the field, which is what our Augusta native and five-time Masters competitor Charles Howell III predicted in yesterday's piece.
How will the course play in Round 2?
Want to know the deal with all 18 holes and weather conditions in Augusta for Friday? Of course you do -- it's a very handy guide as you watch the proceedings unfold. To get it all, though, you must be an ESPN Insider. Dive in, this stuff is informatively epic.
