Hockey News: Awesome in Atlanta
Marian Hossa, Ilya Kovalchuk and Slava Kozlov can all be found in the top four in league scoring and the trio is white hot right now. They've combined for 27 points in the last four games for a Thrashers team that has only failed to score at least two goals once in 20 games this year.
While both Hossa, the NHL's current leading scorer with 30 points, and Kovalchuk (26 points) have the ability to win the Art Ross Trophy, Kozlov (26 points) certainly seems out of his element. He is tied for second in league scoring with Kovalchuk and New York's Jaromir Jagr. The 34-year-old Kozlov is coming off a 71-point season and has a career high of 73 from his days with the Red Wings. His torrid 107-point pace certainly will not continue.
