FHL: The Midseason Report

The Winter Olympics in Torino are finally here, meaning fantasy owners get a two-week break from our game. Instead, we can focus on different, exciting matchups, like Martin Brodeur (Canada) vs. Dominik Hasek (Czech Republic), and powerhouse offenses, like Russia's squad featuring Pavel Datsyuk, Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexander Ovechkin.
The Olympics also provide fantasy owners a bit of a breather -- a two-week rest, if you will -- before the late-season push for a league championship. It's a time to take stock of your team, because when the NHL returns on Feb. 28, it'll be a quick, seven-week race, with the trading deadline approaching 10 days after the games resume (March 10). With this being the theoretical midpoint of the NHL season, let's take a look back at some of the fantasy standouts of the first half, and what's in store for them ahead:
