Week 5 Eliminator best bets
Projecting the safest selections for Eliminator pools in Week 5 and beyond
Is there anyone who doesn't think Peyton Manning might still have a few elite years left in him? On Sunday, Manning & Co. set a Denver Broncos scoring record, putting up 52 points in an absolute demolition of the Philadelphia Eagles. Manning has now thrown a league-leading 16 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Zero. In fact, he has added 92 points to the Broncos offense above expectation, and has improved his team's chances of scoring on 64 percent of drop-backs. Both of these figures are tops in the league.
Elsewhere, Brian Hoyer and the Cleveland Browns won their second straight game, this time over a Cincinnati Bengals team that had just beaten the Green Bay Packers. The Seattle Seahawks improved to 4-0 with an overtime win after the Houston Texans blew a 20-3 halftime lead. And the Kansas City Chiefs remained undefeated (with the New York Giants being embarrassed again) thanks to the league's No. 1 defense in terms of efficiency added. Oh, and the NFC East does not have a team over .500.
