Week 13 Cheat Sheet

Each week, the cheat sheet combs through the choicest Insider fantasy advice to provide owners with last-minute roster tips for the weekend. Here is this week's edition:

Top Tips

Colin Kaepernick, QB, San Francisco 49ers: Two games into the Kaepernick era in San Francisco, and things are looking up for both the Nevada product and those who got on his bandwagon early. Thirty-seven points in two games (in ESPN standard scoring; he may well have had more in your league) was enough for Eric Karabell to take notice, though he was only bumped up to No. 16 in the writer's year-to-end rankings at QB. Against the St. Louis Rams this week, Karabell has Kaepernick ranked 13th at the position, while Danny Tuccitto of Football Outsiders passes along that this is a particularly tough matchup for Kaepernick: His metrics yield a minus-3 fantasy point rating for the game.
