Playing with Numbers: There's still hope for Houshmandzadeh, Moss
As I wrote in my column before Week 3, targets have long been my favorite quantitative tool for evaluating the potential fantasy impact of receivers. Since a receiver cannot create his own opportunities, it's important to gauge how many opportunities these players are getting. At this point of the season, there's another aspect to this evaluation: quantifying changes in these opportunities compared to the start of the year. This gives us some insight for management of our playoff teams, and we should also keep this information as we head toward draft day 2009.
