Engel: Breaking down the stats

This week, we go inside the numbers to reveal some interesting trends for a few specific players at the three key fantasy skill positions. These are some fun and positive tidbits that can help you make critical roster and lineup decisions during your drive to the fantasy postseason.

Quarterbacks

Drew Brees: He has scored more than 20 ESPN.com fantasy points in four consecutive games and in five of his past six. Brees has a QB rating of 114.5 in November and he has thrown nine TD passes of 21 or more yards. Brees has flourished when using three-receiver sets, with eight TD passes when he spreads the field with three wideouts. In road games, he has thrown eight TD passes with only two interceptions . Brees is a must-start fantasy player right now. Don't bench him or part with him easily in a trade.
