Week 12: Fantasy Matchups
Denver at Kansas City: It's uncertain who will carry the rushing load for the Broncos because of injuries, but don't forget about Damien Nash, who could end up being a good play at your flex position. Mike Bell (thigh) and Tatum Bell (toes) are both listed as probable. Jake Plummer will have to be conservative and spread the ball around as CB Ty Law locks up Javon Walker often. The Chiefs, of course, will counter with heavy doses of Larry Johnson, who will score at least once. The Kansas City game plan will continue to place an emphasis on not overworking Trent Green. Tony Gonzalez (shoulder) is listed as questionable and you should keep him reserved; you don't want to risk a possible zero if he is not able to play.
Start and Smile: Damien Nash
Watch and Worry: Tatum Bell, Mike Bell, Tony Gonzalez
Miami at Detroit: Look for the Dolphins not to put too much of an emphasis on Ronnie Brown, who has been dealing with a groin injury and should only post decent numbers. There's really no reason for Miami to rely heavily on the running game when they can attack the Lions' secondary regularly, especially with strikes to Chris Chambers. Joey Harrington will be the center of attention in his return to Detroit, and the Lions' defenders know his tendencies too well and will pick him off more than once. Jon Kitna will have to throw a lot with mixed results, as the Lions are unable to establish much of a ground game. Kitna will also be intercepted more than once, but he'll deliver at least one TD pass to Roy Williams.
Start and Smile: Chris Chambers, Roy Williams
Watch and Worry: Joey Harrington, Arlen Harris
