Week 10: Engel's Mailbag

Steve Blecha, San Francisco: I think I'm in a bind this week at quarterback but I might just be looking too deeply into it. My choices are Marc Bulger in the rain in Seattle or Jon Kitna indoors against the 49ers.

Engel: You're not overanalyzing things at all, because you have two very good fantasy quarterbacks who both seem like optimum starting options this week. Sunday's forecast at Seattle indeed calls for a 70-percent chance of precipitation, according to the Weather Channel's official Web site. I do like Bulger better than Kitna in most weeks because he will make fewer turnovers. I also have to factor in that Seattle's pass defense has been very vulnerable recently except for its performance against the punchless Raiders, which could be an aberration. But Kitna definitely has a fine matchup at home against the 49ers, and with weather not being a factor for him, I have to recommend Kitna over Bulger this week.
