Maybe your league has already conducted its draft. Maybe it hasn't. (If it's the latter, get cracking!) Whatever the case, the fantasy football season starts on Thursday, so get ready to convert your efforts doing draft preparation into in-season roster management.

Most people believe that simply means setting your weekly lineups and remembering to put in your waiver claims after each week's games. But it's much more than that; the same scouting you did during the preseason is every bit as important once the games start counting. Players change, roles change, and those who might have slipped just beneath your sleeper list on draft day could still become useful parts during the course of the year.

Listed below are 12 players who could, with a little luck, become useful additions sometime this year. All should be available in a fair amount of leagues, so keep an eye on how they perform and how their teams use them in the season's early weeks.
