Steve, O'Fallon, Ill.: What do you make of the Denver RB situation? Mike Anderson is available in my keeper league. Should I grab him before any of the rookie RBs?
Engel: Anderson is having a fine camp and appears to have the inside track on the starting job right now. But it is questionable how long he can play well, and Tatum Bell still is a very good bet to become a starter at some point, even if it's not this year. Anderson is a good late-fourth-round pick in yearly leagues, but in keeper formats he certainly should not be drafted before any of the top rookie RBs. Players like Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown offer more future upside and long-term potential.
