The "Backfield Chart" helps identify NFL teams' rushing trends, including highlighting those who are clear-cut workhorses or goal-line vultures. Players are listed by team in descending order of rushing attempts plus receiving targets for the season and include only quarterbacks and running backs. Players' statistics shown were accrued with that team only.

Only players with five rushing attempts plus receiving targets in any game, or players who have at least one rushing attempt or receiving target inside the 5-yard line, are shown. Statistics are divided into three categories:

Opp (or "Opportunities"): The player's total number of rushing attempts and receiving targets.

In5 (or "Opportunities inside the 5"): The player's total number of rushing attempts and receiving targets inside the opponent's 5-yard line.

TD (or "Touchdowns on inside-the-5 opportunities"): The player's total touchdowns on opportunities inside the opponent's 5-yard line.

Players with "--" listed in the given week did not play in that team's game.

All inside-the-5 statistics are courtesy of ESPN Stats & Analysis.
