One way to keep a step in front of your fantasy football competition is to plan a couple of weeks ahead for bye weeks. Many fantasy coaches take a reactive approach to the bye spots on their schedules and don't pick up a player until that week. By thinking ahead, you can pick up the wideouts and tight ends who have the best combination of consistent production and favorable matchups both before and during the upcoming bye weeks.
