Preseason Notebook: Ronnie Brown's value sliding

This week, we focus on some of the latest NFL news from a fantasy perspective.
Chiefs general manager Carl Peterson told the team's official Web site that if Priest Holmes makes the team, he will be used as a situational running back. He drew comparisons to how Marcus Allen was used with the Chiefs in the 1990s. "That's short yardage, goal line, screens and draws," Peterson said. Holmes is still not a sure bet to survive the final cuts and he has yet to practice. It's difficult to envision him taking a significant amount of touchdown chances from Larry Johnson at this point. Holmes is worth a late-round pick, but at best, he will be used only to give Johnson an occasional rest.
