Engel: WR Rankings for 2007
1. Steve Smith: Expect double figures in touchdowns for the second time in his career. His totals should be closer to his 2005 numbers this year.
2. Marvin Harrison: Averaged 14.4 yards per catch in 2006, the second-highest total of his career. Has caught 39 TD passes in the past three seasons.
3. Chad Johnson: Inconsistency was a concern last season even though the final numbers appeared very impressive. Should be more reliable in 2007.
4. Terrell Owens: Caught 13 touchdowns last year, and will have another fine statistical season on a team that will put up with his antics in return for the production.
5. Torry Holt: More help arrives in the passing game this season, meaning he should get open more often and will deliver another terrific campaign.
6. Reggie Wayne: 86 receptions and 1,310 receiving yards in 2006 were new career standards, and he's got several more outstanding seasons ahead of him.
7. Larry Fitzgerald: Compared to Cris Carter earlier in his career, you'll really start to see why in 2007. He's ready for a big season and will be a constant touchdown target.
8. Marques Colston: He quickly has established himself as the top wide receiver in the NFC's most explosive passing game.
9. Javon Walker: As Jay Cutler settles in as a solid starter, Walker will operate as the young quarterback's best big-play option.
10. Roy Williams: Ready to come through with the best season of his career so far with quality complements taking more defensive attention away from him.
11. Lee Evans: He seems to improve every year, and he's ready to make the leap into full-fledged fantasy stardom in 2007.
12. T.J. Houshmandzadeh: Very possibly the most underrated wide receiver in fantasy football, he often falls too far in drafts to the point where he operates as a No. 2 fantasy receiver.
13. Randy Moss: The revival begins this year, and he'll prove he still has a lot left. Moss certainly will be worth the risk.
14. Donald Driver: Brett Favre's only dependable playmaker will be very busy again in 2007.
15. Anquan Boldin: Cardinals offense will be more balanced this year, and he'll get open more often, especially for touchdowns.
16. Plaxico Burress: As Eli Manning shows real signs of improvement in 2007, Burress should approach double figures in touchdown receptions again.
17. Andre Johnson: Still lacks any quality complements, and that will hinder his overall production in 2007. He deserves a better situation.
18. Hines Ward: Expect a rebound campaign as both he and Ben Roethlisberger stay healthy.Ward isn't quite done yet.
19. Darrell Jackson: Must avoid injuries, and someone has to step up to help him in the passing game. Will still be good when healthy, but not quite as productive as he was in Seattle.
20. Joey Galloway: Willing to make tough catches now, he still has very good speed in the later stages of his career. Can still challenge defenses regularly.
21. Reggie Brown: Will step forward as the Eagles' clear No. 1 receiver with the departure of Donte' Stallworth.
22. Laveranues Coles: Should be more of a regular scoring threat this year as the Jets continue to improve and display more balance on offense.
23. Terry Glenn: One of the best value selections available when the biggest names at the position are off the board. Still fights hard for every catch.
24. Jerricho Cotchery: A pleasant surprise in 2006, he'll prove his worth as a solid starter again this year.
25. Deion Branch: With Darrell Jackson gone, he becomes Seattle's top receiver and could post the best numbers of his career so far.
26. Santana Moss: Doesn't get enough help in the Washington passing game. Moss will be a disappointment again in 2007.
27. Braylon Edwards: The best seasons of his career are ahead, and will start to show signs of major promise in 2007 with some very big games.
28. Donte' Stallworth: Capable of posting outstanding numbers when he is healthy, but injuries have been an issue too often.
29. Vincent Jackson: One of the top sleepers at the position for 2007, he's on the verge of making a serious move upward in the rankings.
30. Mark Clayton: He has teased us with flashes of considerable potential, and he'll be more reliable in 2007.
31. Matt Jones: If he stays healthy, a breakthrough year is in the cards.
32. Chris Chambers: I'm tired of waiting for him to fully blossom as previously expected.
33. D.J. Hackett: Another top sleeper, he is going to catch a lot of deep balls.
34. Bernard Berrian: Will have some impressive outings when Rex Grossman is hot, but not reliable.
35. Calvin Johnson: The rare rookie who actually could make a serious fantasy impact in his first pro season.
36. Kevin Curtis: Has a chance to start, but must prove he can handle it first.
37. Devery Henderson: He's inconsistent, but Henderson can explode at any time.
38. Drew Bennett: Should be a nice fit as a big target for Marc Bulger.
39. Greg Jennings: Ankle problems hurt his progress last year, should show more signs of improvement this year.
40. Santonio Holmes: Learned on the job last year as a rookie and will make more big plays in his second year.
