The flurry of notable offseason moves continued on Monday with two deals that significantly affected the running back landscape in fantasy football. The frustrating timeshare situation is over in Chicago, while the Broncos have made a major move to stabilize their running game.
Jets trade for Thomas Jones
New York filled the apparent hole in their backfield by dealing for Jones, who had been surrounded by constant trade rumors in recent seasons. Fantasy owners have been waiting for Bears to get rid of Jones for some time now, as it makes the veteran running back more valuable with another team and clears the way for Cedric Benson to finally become the certain No. 1 back for the Bears.
