Engel: NFC East Offseason Fantasy Outlook

We begin our team-by-team offseason fantasy outlooks in the NFC East. We'll examine every squad from the offensive side of the ball as we begin to prepare for the 2007 season. Dallas Cowboys Quarterback: Tony Romo is the definite starter heading into 2007, and there are already reports that the Cowboys will likely work out a contract extension for him, keeping him in the fold for longer than the upcoming season. Job security can only give Romo more confidence, and over a full season, he should develop more consistency. Romo isn't going to be an elite fantasy QB, but he should be solid and sometimes outstanding. He learned a lot of lessons quickly on the job this past season and he can be an adequate fantasy starter next year. Romo can certainly be a top 10 QB and a pretty good value selection once the best six to eight other QBs are off the board.
