We begin our team-by-team offseason fantasy outlooks in the NFC East. We'll examine every squad from the offensive side of the ball as we begin to prepare for the 2007 season.
Quarterback: Tony Romo is the definite starter heading into 2007, and there are already reports that the Cowboys will likely work out a contract extension for him, keeping him in the fold for longer than the upcoming season. Job security can only give Romo more confidence, and over a full season, he should develop more consistency. Romo isn't going to be an elite fantasy QB, but he should be solid and sometimes outstanding. He learned a lot of lessons quickly on the job this past season and he can be an adequate fantasy starter next year. Romo can certainly be a top 10 QB and a pretty good value selection once the best six to eight other QBs are off the board.
