FFL: Late Season Watch List

As you look ahead to the fantasy postseason, you must keep in mind that unforeseen statistical heroes or good plug-ins could emerge to play well late in the season. For NFL teams that won't make the playoffs, it could be time to look at some other offensive options. Other playoff-bound teams could see some unheralded performers step up at an important time of the season. Whether you are going to need additional help for depth, emergency replacements or guys to keep your eye in a keeper league, here's a list of players to watch in the weeks ahead. Any of these players could become valuable in many formats and even will have the potential to contribute as starters in some larger leagues.

Santonio Holmes, WR, Steelers: Pittsburgh badly needs a receiver to step forward and challenge defenses with deep speed, and Holmes fits the bill. They will continue to give him a lot of chances to prove himself, especially now that the Steelers appear to be looking ahead to next season.

Anthony Fasano, TE, Cowboys: He has shown the promise of being able to make important grabs on key passing downs. As opposing defenses focus heavily on Tony Romo's other available options, Fasano could start to get more looks, especially in the red zone.
