Here's a quick look at important news and trends by position as we begin to prepare for Week 16.

According to reports, Lovie Smith has named Rex Grossman the starter for Sunday's game against the Packers, after he pumped instant life into the Chicago offense in the second half of Sunday's game. Grossman threw for just 93 yards and an interception, but he moved the offense with more continuity than Kyle Orton would. Grossman is only a desperation fantasy option, but he should boost the production of Muhsin Muhammad while taking more defensive pressure off Thomas Jones.
