Few players are more polarizing among NFL fans and fantasy owners alike than Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, who is set to make his first start of this season Sunday in Miami. Then again, while Tebow makes news for myriad reasons, such is the plight of the running quarterback. Think about it: Michael Vick obviously made significant news off the field, but even on the field there are those who refuse to believe in him. Carolina Panthers rookie Cam Newton is another fellow who invites much discussion because of how he plays.

Fantasy owners have actually been a bit cautious in adding Tebow to their teams, which has surprised me. I think the fact that Tebow's Broncos were on bye last week tells part of the story -- outta sight, outta mind -- and certainly some Tom Brady, Vick and Eli Manning owners will be looking his way with their quarterbacks on bye this week. But once Tebow replaced an ineffective Kyle Orton in relief in Week 5, and actually moved the then-dormant team down the field, it became clear Tebow would be leading the team after that, and the dynamic changed.

To see why Eric feels Tim Tebow could become a top-10 fantasy quarterback, you must be an ESPN Insider.
