We're two weeks into the season, and I think we've got a pretty good idea what the New Orleans Saints are doing at running back. Rookie Mark Ingram has the most carries, easily, and that should continue. Ingram should find his way into the end zone on occasion, and I'd say that while it's been a slow start, he's trending upward. Pierre Thomas hasn't been as busy, and he also hasn't found the end zone, but he's averaging 5 yards per rush and catching the occasional pass. He should remain owned as well, although it sure seems like there's not much upside statistically.
Then there is little Darren Sproles, currently the team's top fantasy running back, and it's not even close. Sproles has taken over the ol' Reggie Bush role of pass receiver out of the backfield and run with it, getting 19 targets in two games, catching 15 passes (one touchdown) and producing 24 fantasy points. Ingram plus Thomas has resulted in 18 standard fantasy points. Of course, guess who is owned in the fewest number of leagues?
