For the four people who were wondering, my column dragged itself from wherever it is that columns come from and stumbled onto the site two days late because I was fully immersed in The Bristol Experience earlier this week. Sampled the local fare (Mickey D's), nightlife (Clarion Inn lounge) and arts (a disturbing, '80s-era Tom Selleck-goes-to-prison flick on the hotel TV).
A mind-altering whirlwind of a trip? Not exactly, but it set me back enough. My apologies to the next of kin of those who held their breath waiting for this piece. The upshot: The delay allowed another e-mailer or two to sneak in a missive this week, and you can guess what that means: mailbag mania.
