BOLD PRESEASON PREDICTIONS

Indiana GF Ron Artest will win the league MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards, bite the head off a live bat while covering a rap version of "Crazy Train" at halftime of Game 7 of the NBA Finals and lead the Pacers to the NBA title. OK, I'm moderately confident he'll do at least one of the above, but take this to the bank: Artest will produce like a fantasy first-rounder. He was ready to crack into the elite last season, and now he's put on more muscle (as if he needed it) and is ticked off at everyone. Scary.
