The Futures Game has come and gone, and while the overall game wasn't anything terribly exciting -- the U.S. team won 3-2 -- there were an awful lot of talented players at Target Field on Sunday night that had both fans and scouts alike abuzz.

"It was a good day," an NL East scout said. "People talk about the lack of offensive stars in baseball right now, but if you watched today, you know there's some really good offensive talent on the way. And of course the pitching, but we've really grown used to seeing that at these games. The exhibition itself isn't a great scouting look, but there was certainly an awful lot of quality things to see. It certainly wasn't a wasted trip."
