After a somewhat disastrous 2013 season, Trevor Bauer has been one of the most pleasant surprises of 2014, posting a 2.14 ERA in seven starts with the Triple-A Columbus Clippers, with 44 strikeouts in 46 innings pitched. He also pitched well in his one start with the Cleveland Indians this year -- one earned run and eight strikeouts in six innings as a call-up for a doubleheader on April 9 -- and it was only a matter of time until the right-hander replaced someone in the back end of the Cleveland rotation.

Somewhat surprisingly, that pitcher is talented right-hander Danny Salazar. Bauer will make his second big league start of the season Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers.

Here's a look at how Bauer can help you and your 2014 fantasy club but also why you shouldn't necessarily go all-in on the right-hander just yet.
