Colorado Rockies: 3 @PIT; 4 @WAS. The Rockies' offense is really hot: The team features the best batting average in baseball over the last month, they've scored the most runs in baseball over that time, and have hit the second-most homers. One wouldn't imagine trips to Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., would derail them. John Van Benschoten and Shane Youman don't exactly scare you Monday and Tuesday, and then the quartet of Matt Chico, Jason Simontacchi, Mike Bacsik and the dreaded "to be determined" should result in some Rockies runs.
Houston Astros: 3 @WAS; 3 @PIT. And what's good for the goose is good for the ... southern goose. The Astros' offense has perked up lately, too, paced by the surprisingly scalding Mike Lamb, as well as Mark Loretta and Craig Biggio. They'll face some of the same pitchers Colorado will, in addition to the always-popular Tim Redding in D.C. and the inconsistent Paul Maholm.
